Sorry! 

Diablo and I have a lesson set up this week! In the words of my trainer: “I have a lesson all planned out for the two of you - see if he has any jumping potential!” Should be interesting and I hope it goes really well! He’s been doing really well under saddle and he’s gaining back his muscle and his weight :) I’m so so happy about it. I’ve been looking into some schooling shows and trying to decide which ones to take him to and whatnot. I have lots of hope for us! :) we like to play tag in the arena and we go for jogs/runs down the dirt roads together, haha. I mean.. I basically sprint while he only trots. He’s such a sweetheart and I’m glad he’s mine.

I haven’t been able to ride Moose in a while but I’ll be seeing him this week and probably will end up riding him. And I’m most likely riding him in the Hunts this year if he hasn’t been sold or leased out by then. 

My trainer wants me to hunt Diablo this year, which could end up being the death of me hahaha. 

Anyways, Diablo is doing really well! He got his dewormer all over the side of his muzzle today and all over my hands. He seemed satisfied with himself. 

Now that my classes are basically over except for one more final, I should be able to update more about all the horses instead of coming home from the barn and going to bed right away.

I rode Moose for one of the potential buyers. I warmed him up and he was perfect for me. Then, she got on him and he was a brat and he kept testing her. But what horse doesn’t do that? She got scared and his whole attitude changed. She wanted to get off and so I got back on while my trainer was grabbing something. I calmed him down and got him back under control and he was behaving perfect again for me. Then my trainer got on him and he was an ass for her, too. The lady kept complimenting me on my riding and it just felt great okay. “He performs best for you.” He likes you so much better than he likes me.” You ride him the best!” “You’re such a great rider.” 

It was weird seeing other people ride Moose. Buut I guess it’s because I’ve been the only one riding him since August 2011 or whenever I started riding for my trainer. The lady’s coming back to see him when he has a better day and there’s more potential buyers coming out to see him. I’m riding him 5 days a week for the next couple weeks to see if he’ll get back into routine. 

After they left, I groomed him for awhile and clipped his bridle path and all that and turned him out. Then my trainer and I grabbed her 3 year old filly and free lunged her in the arena over a couple poles and little cross rails. She’s going to be a great jumper. My God. And then we grabbed Tully and Denver and free lunged/jumped them all together. Tully and Denver are so cute when they jump because sometimes they jump tandem and go right at the same; with perfect knees and all. 

So yeah, today was great today!
